‘Usurping The Paragon’ is another vicious black thrasher before the rampant crush of ‘At One With Infinity’ leads us to ‘Parasitic Demons’ which keeps up the good work. Again we get some mighty riffs and some sublime leads then just before the six-minute mark Galvez breaks out the acoustic and gives us some beautiful Blackmore-inspired folk for about a minute then it’s back to the heavy. It rattles the furniture and crockery with some blackened thrash until things get faster and heavier on ‘Apparitions Of Conquest’ which blasts out of the traps and goes like the clappers, fair play to drummer Dylan Gowan because the pace is frantic. It’s not just the shred, he also has a great line in riffs.

‘Silenced Judgement’ immediately shows that Galvez knows his way around a fretboard. This is the second album under the Malice Divine banner and Ric assures us that it will be a full band this year. Malice Divine is Ric Galvez, who is a master axeman with a major degree in music from York University.
